This new, unique, patented concept benefits from MANITOU’s know-how already available in over 100 000 MANISCOPICs. With this new machine, MANITOU really creates an as yet non-existent product family combining handling and extraction functions. Hence its name, which is a contraction of the trade name MANITOU and the English word backhoe.
Material handling
With its telescopic boom at the front of the machine, the MANIHOE provides a lifting height and forward reach unmatched by traditional machines. The quick attachment mounting interface enables professionals to change attachments without wasting time, and use the majority of attachments offered by MANITOU (forks, four-in-one bucket, etc…).
Earth moving / off-site disposal
MANIHOE can do everything that a backhoe normally does. The rear shovel can be used for trench digging, excavation or drainage work, like a backhoe. The front telescopic boom outperforms a traditional backhoe, while making many on-site tasks easier:
- driving over obstacles, such as trenches, low walls, or hedges;
- loading tippers;
- laying ducts or cables in trenches;
- loading a truck down below…
Therefore the MANIHOE offers two crucial advantages to professionals: a gain in productivity, and ease of work.
With this new concept, MANITOU demonstrates once again its creativity and capacity for continuous innovation focused on customers’ needs.
